Job summary

McKinley Children's Center is seeking a Correctional Services Clinician to support the mental health of seriously mentally ill inmates within correctional facilities and on campus. You will conduct individual and group therapy using evidence-based techniques and maintain thorough documentation per agency and county standards.

The role requires licensure with the Board of Behavioral Sciences, the ability to work flexible hours across seven days, and willingness to travel to multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Must have valid licensure or registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (ACSW/AMFT/LCSW/LMFT/APCC/LPCC).
• Bilingual Spanish skills are highly preferred.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening.
• Jurisdictional background checks (DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Index).
• Insurability under corporate automobile insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead group therapy sessions for inmates (minimum five 1-hour sessions daily).
• Conduct individual assessments to identify service needs for inmates.
• Coordinate and lead structured life skills and coping skills activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and adhere to county procedures.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and supervision sessions.
• Work seven days a week, 8 am–8 pm, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
