Qualifications

EMT-P credential or completion of certified medication aide training and passage of state exam.
HS diploma or GED.
Must complete the Correctional Medication Aide training program and pass the certification exam.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with patients to administer medications as ordered by providers.
Follow departmental standards to ensure patient safety.
Maintain secure control of medications per standards.
Document activities accurately in health records and medication systems.
Support clinical activities under nurse management.
