Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or GED with current credential from the Texas Department of State Health Services, OR completion of a certified medication aide training course and passage of State exam.
• Current Medication Aide Certification is required to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Distributes and documents inmates’ medications.
• Maintains drug room security and upkeep of drug room and pharmaceutical equipment.
• Inputs medication compliance in the TDCJ pharmacy computer system and adheres to TTUHSC and TDCJ policies.
