Job summary

TTUHSC seeks a Correctional Medication Aide candidate to assist in the Unit Medication Room, distributing medications from filled prescriptions and ensuring patient safety.

Responsibilities include coordinating with patients, documenting in health records, and supporting clinical activities under supervision, with duties within credential scope. Eligible for Correctional Medication Aide or Trainee levels based on education and skills.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or GED equivalent.
• EMT-P credential from Texas DHS, or completion of a certified medication aide training with state exam.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with patients to deliver and administer medications as ordered.
• Documents activities in patient health records and medication administration systems.
• Supports clinical activities under the direction of facility director and nurse management.
• Performs duties within credential scope as assigned.
