Responsibilities include entering patient data, maintaining filing systems, and processing requests for medical information in compliance with HIPAA and privacy regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Typing speed of at least 45 wpm with accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work under pressure.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies and Privacy laws.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient information into electronic systems and maintain filing systems.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of medical documentation.
• Handle requests for medical information from authorized parties while complying with HIPAA and privacy regulations.
• Manage incoming/outgoing mail, answer phones, and relay messages related to medical records.
• Create, update, and organize inmate medical records and assemble/disassemble files.
• Perform routine clerical tasks as assigned.
