Qualifications

• CMA certification and completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR certification if required.
• Proficient computer skills with Word and Excel; minimum typing speed of 45 wpm.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow facility policies and legal requirements.
• Pass the facility background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and document health problems and medication history.
• Take vital signs and document results (BP, temp, weight, EKGs, labs).
• Administer medications under physician direction.
• Provide basic wound care and routine blood draws.
• Assist with examinations and patient education.
• Schedule and coordinate appointments; maintain records and filing.
• Ensure medical documentation is complete and HIPAA compliant.
