Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience is required and 18+ years old.
• Industry experience in institutional food service or restaurant settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and service shifts.
• Prepare or direct the preparation of quality foods according to menus and recipes.
• Ensure proper storage and sanitary handling of all food.
• Serve meals according to planned schedules and department policies.
• Train other food service workers and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
• Follow all food safety regulations and assist with equipment use as needed.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for staff and inmates.
