Job summary

Summit, part of Elior North America, is seeking an experienced Cook Supervisor for onsite work at Williamson County Jail in Texas. The role focuses on coordinating staff, ensuring food quality and sanitation, and maintaining service standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will train employees, oversee daily operations, and uphold high-level culinary practices while supporting a mission-driven food program for inmates.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of culinary experience in a high-volume, scratch cooking environment.
• Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience supervising a team and providing friendly customer service.
• Food handlers certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation, ensuring meal services begin on time, and ensuring that portions, appearance and temperature meet standards.
