Job summary

Aramark in Correctional Industrial Facility is seeking a Food Service Worker to supervise inmates in a correctional kitchen, train workers, assign tasks, and ensure meals meet production plans while maintaining safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities include overseeing food preparation, reviewing logs, ensuring HACCP compliance, and guiding inmates in cooking procedures. A food safety certification and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory experience in a food service setting.
• Minimum of one year of food preparation or related work preferred.
• Ability to motivate and supervise inmates and/or team members.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and maintain preparation and production guidelines by reviewing and approving production and temperature logs.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and adherence to Aramark guidelines.
• Direct inmates in the use of recipes and train on proper cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and compliance with dietary requirements.
• Obtain accurate daily population counts and review with staff.
• Follow security policies; ensure storage areas are locked and tools are secured.
