Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Worker to supervise inmates in a correctional kitchen, train staff, and ensure meals are prepared to plan while maintaining sanitation and security standards. The role requires ability to coordinate work, monitor safety, and oversee portioning and dietary requirements.

Candidates should be comfortable in a correctional facility and able to obtain a food safety certification. The position offers competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Minimum of one year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Ability to obtain a food safety certification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Adhere to production guidelines and review logs.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and compliance with Aramark guidelines.
• Direct inmates in the use of recipes and train on cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and dietary requirements are fulfilled.
• Maintain sanitation and security of kitchen areas.
• Assist with inventory, receiving and storing food items.
• Follow HACCP policies for safe handling.
• Conform to all safety policies and procedures.
