Job summary

Aramark Correctional Services is seeking a Food Service Worker to supervise inmates in a correctional kitchen at the Charleston Correctional Facility. You will train workers, coordinate tasks, and ensure meals align with production plans while maintaining sanitation and personal safety.

The role requires comfort working in a correctional facility, with background checks and adherence to HACCP policies. Excellent teamwork and adherence to security procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising inmates in a food service setting.
• Ability to obtain a food safety certification.
• Experience with inventory and logs and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to production guidelines and review logs.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and adherence to Aramark guidelines.
• Direct inmates in recipe use and proper cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and accommodate dietary requirements.
• Obtain accurate daily population counts and review with staff.
• Adhere to security policies and secure storage areas.
