Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook Officer to manage all aspects of food preparation and service in the facility, including cooking, cleaning, and planning.

The role involves adherence to safety protocols, supervising food service staff, and ensuring meal quality while maintaining security and custody in common areas. Responsibilities include following the operational menu, managing inventories, and coordinating with management on scheduling and training.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years prior experience in managing and/or quantity food production in commercial, military, or institutional settings.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.
• Must be a United States citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident and have resided in the U.S. for the past five (5) years.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, cooks, and plans food per the operational menu plan for the facility.
• Directs food service staff and oversees quality assurance of meals.
• Maintains production records and inventories; orders food and supplies as needed.
• Performs safety and security checks of food service areas and adheres to facility policies.
