Job summary

The Colorado Department of Corrections is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor I at the Fremont Correctional Facility in Canon City. You will oversee safety, security, and the preventative maintenance of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment, while guiding inmate workers and coordinating with facilities staff.

Minimum qualifications include four years of maintenance experience on relevant equipment or building systems, with strong leadership and training abilities.

Qualifications

• Four years of maintenance on commercial kitchen, laundry, or refrigeration equipment.
• OR four years on electronic equipment or building mechanical systems.
• Experience combining different roles to reach four years may be considered.
• Strong communication and ability to train inmates in safety and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of facility, staff and inmates.
• Oversee maintenance of kitchen and laundry equipment and related systems.
• Train and supervise inmate workers in tools and processes.
• Manage inventory and coordinate with other projects to optimize resources.
