Job summary

Trinity Services Group in California, United States, is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen staff inside a jail/correctional facility. You will prepare and serve a variety of food items following menus and instructions, reporting to a Food Service Director, and working onsite within the facility.

Ideal candidates are passionate about food service, understand food handling regulations, and are adaptable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred: prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes; serve portions meeting nutritional needs.
• Travel up to 75% from home base including overnight hotel stays when needed.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for employees and inmates.
