Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Corrections Oversight Worker at Chillicothe Correctional Center to supervise inmates in food preparation, ensure meals follow production plans, and enforce sanitation standards.

The role includes training inmates, coordinating work, and maintaining safety and security compliance while adhering to HACCP policies and company SOPs. Candidates should be able to obtain a food safety cert and work with limited supervision in a correctional environment.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Minimum of one year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Ability to obtain a food safety certification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must follow basic safety procedures and policies.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and maintain production guidelines by reviewing logs.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and compliance with Aramark guidelines.
• Participate in preparation and serving of meals.
• Print and distribute recipes.
• Direct inmates in use of Aramark recipes and train on cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and dietary requirements are fulfilled.
• Obtain accurate daily population counts and review with staff.
• Adhere to security policies and keep storage areas locked.
• Return all tools and keys to designated secure areas.
• Determine work procedures, schedules, and sanitation plans.
• Assist in inventory, receiving, and storage of food items; requisition orders.
• Participate in preparation, storage, and assembly of meals.
• Follow HACCP policies for proper food handling.
