Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Corrections Oversight Worker to supervise inmates during food preparation and meal service, ensuring adherence to production plans and sanitation standards.

You will train workers, coordinate tasks, and enforce safety policies while maintaining secure facilities and accurate logs. This role emphasizes teamwork in a correctional environment and compliance with HACCP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Minimum of one year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Ability to obtain a food safety certification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to follow basic safety procedures and policies.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to production guidelines and review logs.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and compliance with Aramark guidelines.
• Participate in meal preparation and serving.
• Distribute recipes and train staff on procedures.
• Direct inmates in use of Aramark recipes and cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and dietary requirements are met.
• Obtain daily population counts and review with staff.
• Adhere to security policies; keep storage areas locked.
• Return and secure kitchen tools and keys.
• Plan work procedures, schedules, and sanitation routines.
• Assist in inventory and stocking of food items; requisition orders as needed.
• Contribute to 5 P’s: Participation, Pulls, Production, Portion Control, Postproduction.
• Follow HACCP policies and proper food handling procedures.
