Advanced Correctional Healthcare seeks a licensed Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care within our correctional facilities. You will assess, plan, and administer nursing care, collaborate with practitioners, and ensure patient safety and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state where services are provided.
• BLS certification; hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients.
• Contact practitioner to obtain orders.
• Administer prescribed medication, treatments and other tasks as ordered by the practitioner.
• Provide emergency first aid care when appropriate.
• Check and record vital signs, peak flows, blood glucose, weight and other tests on-site.
• Triage officer intake screenings for necessity and priority at sick call.
• Record information in chronic clinic and outcome study documents as indicated.
• Report reactions to treatments and medications, and changes in patient condition.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA practices.
