Job summary

Bureau of Prisons/Federal Prison System seeks a Supervisory Correctional Officer (Captain) to lead the Correctional Services department at a correctional institute in West Virginia. You will serve as the resident expert on custodial and security matters and hold full technical responsibility for issues during shifts.

Reporting to the Warden, you will advise on policy implementation, integrate procedures with overall operations, and maintain security across the facility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serves as the department head in the Correctional Services department at a Bureau of Prisons correctional institute and is the resident expert on custodial and security questions.
• Has final technical responsibility when problems occur during any given shift.
• Oversees institutional security, inmate conduct, work programs, tool and material control, safety, sanitation, and vehicle operations.
