Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. in Raleigh, North Carolina is seeking a Dentist to join our correctional healthcare team. This part-time role offers a competitive hourly pay of $160.97 with an estimated 16–32 hours per week and 1099 contracting.

You'll perform exams, radiographs, preventive and restorative care, anesthesia, and patient education in a safe, professional setting. Must hold NC license and have at least 1 year of experience; PSV and current certifications (BLS, TB test, etc.) are

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted North Carolina license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Dentist.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of current required certifications (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Perform dental examinations, diagnose oral health conditions, and provide appropriate treatments.
• Perform preventive and restorative procedures, including cleanings, fillings, and extractions.
• Take and review dental X-rays and other diagnostic images to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Administer local anesthesia and prescribe medications as appropriate.
• Monitor patients during and after procedures and provide appropriate follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate findings and treatment recommendations.
• Follow professional standards, infection control procedures, safety guidelines, and applicable regulations.
