The State of North Carolina seeks a dedicated Dental Hygienist (S) to join the team at Anson Correctional Institution in Polkton, NC. The role supports the dental staff in preventative and general dentistry for inmates, conducting prophylaxis, screenings, and hygiene instruction under the supervision of a licensed dentist.

• Licensed to practice as a dental hygienist in North Carolina.
• Demonstrated knowledge in applying dental hygiene techniques.
• Experience with dental equipment, instrumentation and radiographic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform prophylaxis and supervise general dental care for institution population.
• Screen offenders and refer to dentist if needed.
• Record findings and maintain dental status records.
• Assist the dentist in planning dental health programs.
• Provide oral hygiene instruction and preventive care.
