Qualifications

• Degree in dentistry from an accredited dental school (DDS/DMD).
• Licensed to practice as a dentist in the state where the facility is located.
• Ability to interact effectively with detainees and staff in a correctional setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise dental care for facility detainees/inmates.
• Initiate and maintain compliance with accreditation standards.
• Conduct initial dental screenings and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Perform routine procedures: cleaning, drilling, fillings, extractions as appropriate.
• Maintain health records and use EHR system.
