Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a licensed dentist to provide and supervise dental care for facility detainees. The role includes evaluating patients, creating treatment plans, and performing routine procedures in a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in dentistry from an accredited dental school.
• Licensed to practice as a registered dentist in the state where the facility is located.
• Ability to work effectively with detainees/inmates and staff in a correctional setting.
• Demonstrate adaptability of medical techniques to security and facility constraints.

Responsibilities

• The Dentist initiates and maintains compliance with accreditation policies.
• Performs initial dental screenings on all new commitments within seven days.
• Evaluates patients and develops clinically appropriate treatment plans.
• Performs routine dental procedures including cleaning, drilling, filling, and extractions.
• Educates patients on oral health and prevention strategies.
• Maintains dental records and uses Electronic Health Records system.
