Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - PRN to join our team at the City of Las Vegas Detention Center in Las Vegas, NV.

This role offers exposure to a correctional healthcare environment and opportunities to support physicians and healthcare professionals with examinations, vital signs, and administrative tasks. Qualifications

• CMA Certification – Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Be able to obtain BLS/CPR Certification (AHA).
• Office Lab Assistant License (for Nevada only).
• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information.
• Adhere to Code of Conduct and facility policies and legal requirements.
• Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine venipuncture and document vital signs and patient data.
• Assist with examinations and treatments and report changes in patient conditions.
• Support patient hygiene, ambulation, and dressing changes.
• Receive and route visitors and inquiries to the appropriate staff.
• Transmit medical records via mail, email or fax and manage correspondence.
• Maintain supplies inventory and perform clerical tasks and petty cash handling.
• Handle medical claims, subpoenas, and record requests as required.
• Coordinate staff scheduling and assist with meetings.
• Prepare monthly reporting and statistical data as required.
