Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is partnering with Everhealth to hire a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Phlebotomist to join our team in Washoe County Jail, Reno, NV. The role is PRN with compensation between $19.95 and $21.00 per hour.

You will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care in a controlled environment. Duties include taking histories, vital signs, assisting with examinations, and supporting administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• CMA Certification - completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Be able to obtain BLS/CPR Certification (AHA required).
• Office Lab Assistant License (Nevada only).
• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information.
• Display integrity and professionalism; adhere to Code of Conduct and policies.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine blood draws as allowed by licensure.
• Take and document vital signs, height/weight; assist with PPDs and EKGs.
• Assist with examinations and treatments; report changes in patient condition.
• Assist with patient hygiene, ambulation and dressing changes.
• Coordinate and transmit medical records and correspondence as needed.
• Support staff scheduling and monthly reporting.
