NaphCare is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to join our medical team in Las Vegas, NV, providing comprehensive care to individuals at the Clark County Detention Center. You will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage health in a controlled correctional environment alongside officers and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities include exams, chronic disease management, prescribing medications, emergencies, and patient education, all while adhering to facility security protocols and maintaining

Qualifications

• Advanced nursing education (Master's or Doctorate).
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Active, unrestricted NP license in Nevada.
• DEA registration.
• Collaborative agreement with on-site Physician.
• Active BLS CPR certification.
• Board certification by American Board of Medical Specialties is preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing practice principles, safety standards, infectious disease management, and health care regulations.
• Ability to handle confidential information and communicate effectively.
• Team player with ability to work independently.

Responsabilités

• Conduct physical examinations, develop treatment plans, and monitor patients.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, hypertension, diabetes).
• Administer medications and provide patient instructions.
• Monitor health records, vital signs, and histories.
• Provide direct patient care, triage, and coordinate services.
• Respond to emergencies and arrange timely transport when needed.
• Educate patients on preventative care and healthy lifestyles.
• Adhere to correctional facility security protocols with staff.
