Job summary

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry (ADCRR) seeks a Corrections Officer III for the Globe Unit. The role supports classification decisions, coordinates inmate programs, and oversees reentry activities to transition inmates back to the community.

Strong written and verbal communication is essential. Qualified applicants include those with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Public Administration, Behavioral Health or Sociology, or internal

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Public Administration, Behavioral Health or Sociology.
• Internal candidates must have passed probation as a Correctional Lieutenant by the closing date.
• Upload approved Promotions certificate to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and recommend inmate classification reviews to protect due process.
• Coordinate recreation, programs, and reentry activities for inmates.
• Maintain ACIS records and inmate work histories; prepare case summaries.
• Serve as liaison and SME for special releases and complex cases.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
