Job summary

State of North Carolina - Adult Correction is seeking a Corrections Case Manager (S) at Greene Correctional Institution to manage a caseload of inmates, provide supportive counseling, conduct assessments, and develop individualized case plans. The role includes coordinating rehabilitation programs and transition planning for re-entry prior to parole or release.

The position requires an associate’s degree in a related field or a high school/GED with two years custody experience, and certification

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Human Services, Recreation or related field. Alternatively, a high school diploma/GED plus two years of custody experience.
• Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
• EOE; NC State employment policies apply; background check and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling and support within correctional programs; conduct assessments and develop case plans.
• Answer inmate questions and follow up on concerns; make recommendations to the classification committee.
• Coordinate inmate work assignments, work release, education, and recreation programs; assist with transition planning and re-entry prior to parole or release.
