The role emphasizes independent work, documentation accuracy, and inter-agency coordination.

You will conduct offender assessments, coordinate services, and maintain thorough records while supporting reentry efforts and adhering to PREA requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate's degree and one year of relevant experience in corrections, community supervision, case management, rehabilitation services, or related field.
• Full-time relevant experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis up to two years.
• One year of relevant graduate coursework may substitute for one year of experience.
• One year as a TDOC Case Manager 1* with the State of Tennessee Department of Correction.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional case management activities in correctional facilities with independence and accountability for assigned caseloads.
• Review offender case information and documentation to support actions and ensure accuracy.
• Complete offender assessments, screenings, and case reviews and determine actions.
• Initiate and schedule monthly teamings for inmates on caseload.
• Develop, implement, and update offender case plans to support supervision and rehabilitation.
• Coordinate services, referrals, and resources to support offender needs and reentry preparation.
• Monitor offender status, behavior, and compliance indicators and take action as needed.
• Communicate with offenders and stakeholders to resolve case-related issues.
• Participate in training and may provide guidance to less experienced staff.
• Conduct PREA screenings and understand sentence/behavior credits.
