Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Wellness Coordinator to implement health promotion and disease prevention programs for diverse populations through individual and group instruction. The role conducts health assessments and screenings and coordinates services, staff, equipment, and supplies for Employee and Corporate Wellness Services.

Responsibilities include leading health discussions, developing programs, and communicating wellness information across departments and external corporate clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion, Health Science, Public Health, Nutrition, Exercise Science, or related field.
• 1 year experience in Wellness, Health Promotion, Exercise Science, Nutrition, or related field. Internship acceptable.
• BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA) - American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a dedicated resource to internal HM departments and external corporate clients for wellness inquiries that are low to moderate complexity.
• Participates in PRN onboarding staff training including wellness program development, in-services, and health screening instruction.
• Contributes towards improvement of department scores for employee engagement.
