Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Masters or advanced degree desirable.
• CPA or JD required.
• 11+ years’ tax compliance and consulting in a professional services firm.
• 5+ years’ supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead Baker Tilly’s tax services providing federal tax compliance and consulting to corporate clients.
• Manage client relationships on day-to-day tax matters across middle market to multinational clients.
• Consult on corporate and flow-through taxation, ASC 740, and related matters.
• Research tax issues and respond to IRS inquiries with client recommendations.
• Coordinate with specialty tax practices on complex state/local, international, and credits matters.
• Oversee federal and individual tax planning for clients and review technical research.
• Recommend improvements to client operations and processes.
• Manage engagement staffing, billing, and profitability targets.
• Network to acquire new clients and participate in proposals for firm growth.
• Collaborate with service-line leadership on tax market positioning and branding.
• Support the development of staff and recruitment efforts.
