Why This Role Matters

The Corporate Sustainability Manager leads organizational effort to create and implement sustainable policies, procedures, and plans to address the environmental concerns relating to their operations. They coordinate sustainable initiatives for best practices, in compliance with EPA guidelines, meeting individual contract requirements, and maintaining CIMS-GB certifications. This position supervises the Environmental (Energy) Managers as assigned and supports and monitors the sustainable objectives and administrative reporting as required to meet contractual obligations.

What You Will Do

Contract Operations Leadership

  • Partner with operational leadership to develop, implement, and maintain sustainability, quality assurance, compliance, and reporting programs across multiple contracts.
  • Manage web-based audit systems, data collection, trend analysis, and required reporting to customers, federal agencies, certification organizations, and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver training, guidance, policies, and procedures that support quality improvement, sustainability initiatives, contractual compliance, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with customers, government representatives, vendors, and other stakeholders to support operational excellence and contract performance.
  • Provide leadership by fostering teamwork, accountability, strong business ethics, professional conduct, Human Rights awareness, and continuous learning.

Multi-Site Operational Oversight

  • Lead sustainability and product review initiatives to ensure purchasing, environmental, quality, health and safety, and contractual requirements are met.
  • Track, monitor, analyze, and report contract performance trends to support continuous improvement and sustainable operations.
  • Support the implementation of organizational standards, certifications, and industry best practices across assigned contracts and regions.
  • Coordinate audits, inspections, certifications, and special projects while providing operational support related to sustainability, reporting requirements, and training efforts.

Financial & Strategic Accountability

  • Support equipment, consumable, and operational purchasing decisions to align with sustainability specifications, contractual requirements, and organizational goals.
  • Monitor expenses, payroll, reimbursements, and training activities for assigned staff and programs.

People Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Directly supervise Environmental Energy Managers and provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources on employee relations, hiring, disciplinary actions, and workforce planning.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, inclusion, Human Rights compliance, and upward mobility for employees with disabilities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with government customers, regulatory partners, contractors, and vendors.
  • Represent Didlake in external meetings, operational reviews, audits, certifications, and other contract-related activities.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and audit findings in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate special projects and transition planning as required by contract.
Requirements

You bring experience in sustainability, quality assurance, compliance, or operations management, along with the ability to analyze data, lead initiatives, and drive continuous improvement across multiple contracts. You are a collaborative leader with strong communication skills, a commitment to excellence, and experience managing teams, stakeholders, and organizational priorities.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Minimum three (3) years of environmental management experience required.
  • Experience overseeing federal government contracts strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing multi-site operations and/or supervising managers required.

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to obtain and maintain various site-specific security clearances and travel as needed.
  • Preference for experience in Environmental and/or Administrative Operations.
  • Ability to present a positive and professional image to the public, coworkers, and Didlake clients.
  • Must possess strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills, including the ability to read and analyze financial reports and legal documents and resolve customer complaints.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, define problems, establish facts, and collect data.
  • Ability to interact, train, and resolve personnel issues.
  • Ability to interact effectively and supportively with people with disabilities.

Compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
