Job summary

Avathon is seeking a Corporate Strategist, Platform & Product Strategy to shape the strategic direction of its Physical AI platform and product portfolio. You will partner with executive leadership and product/engineering teams to identify opportunities, define roadmaps, and translate frontier AI capabilities into differentiating products for the physical economy.

You will help set priorities across energy, mining, manufacturing, aerospace & defense, and supply chain/logistics, building business

Qualifications

• MBA from a leading global university
• 3–5 years of pre-MBA experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, product strategy or technology strategy
• Strong interest in AI, enterprise tech, and industrial tech
• Ability to translate analysis into clear strategic recommendations
• Comfort taking ambiguous questions and developing actionable paths forward
• Understanding of how platforms become products and align with market needs
• Strong analytical capabilities including market sizing and business-case development
• Executive-level communication skills with cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Define long-term strategy, priorities, and product investment roadmap for Avathon’s Physical AI platform and portfolio
• Evaluate platform capabilities and industry solutions to identify opportunities for product expansion or new categories
• Analyze customer needs, workflows, and market dynamics to identify repeatable, differentiated value
• Translate advances in AI and industrial tech into strategic implications for platform roadmap
• Develop perspectives on how the platform should address energy, mining, manufacturing, aerospace/defense, and logistics
• Create analytical frameworks and business cases for new products, partnerships, and technology investments
• Partner with Product and Marketing to articulate differentiation and strategic narrative
• Work with customers and engineering teams to identify repeatable product opportunities

We are looking for an exceptional Corporate Strategist, Platform & Product Strategy to work at the intersection of corporate strategy, Physical AI, product, technology, and markets. You will work directly with Avathon’s executive leadership and partner closely with Product, AI Research, Product Engineering, Forward Engineering, and industry teams to help shape the strategic direction of Avathon’s platform and product portfolio. This is an opportunity to directly influence what Avathon builds, where we invest, and how we translate frontier AI capabilities into differentiated products for the physical economy.

What You’ll Work On

• Help define the long-term strategy, strategic priorities, and product investment roadmap for Avathon’s Physical AI platform and product portfolio
• Evaluate Avathon’s platform capabilities, applications, and industry solutions to identify opportunities to build, expand, consolidate, partner, or enter new product categories
• Analyze customer needs, industry workflows, operational challenges, and market dynamics to determine which problems Avathon should productize and where the greatest opportunities for differentiated value exist
• Evaluate advances across agentic AI, autonomous systems, knowledge graphs, multimodal AI, digital twins, optimization, and decision intelligence and translate them into strategic implications for Avathon’s platform and roadmap
• Develop strategic perspectives on how Avathon’s platform should address high-value opportunities across energy, mining, manufacturing, aerospace & defense, and supply chain & logistics
• Develop analytical frameworks and business cases to evaluate new products, platform capabilities, market opportunities, partnerships, and strategic technology investments
• Develop a deep understanding of the evolving AI and industrial technology landscape, identifying competitive shifts, emerging architectures, new entrants, and technology developments that should influence Avathon’s strategy
• Partner with Product Management and Marketing to articulate how Avathon’s platform and products are differentiated and help define the strategic narrative for Physical AI and industrial autonomy
• Work with customers, Forward Engineering, and industry experts to identify recurring operational problems and determine which customer-driven innovations can become repeatable, scalable products
• Work directly with senior leadership on platform direction, product portfolio decisions, strategic partnerships, build-versus-buy decisions, market entry, and other company-level strategic priorities

What We’re Looking For:

• MBA required from a leading global university, with a strong record of academic and professional achievement
• Approximately 3–5 years of pre-MBA experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, product strategy or technology strategy
• Strong interest in AI, enterprise technology, product strategy, industrial technology, and the transformation of the physical economy
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate markets, technologies, products, and business models and translate complex analysis into clear strategic recommendations
• Ability to take an ambiguous question whether around a new AI capability, product category, industry opportunity, or strategic investment and develop a rigorous point of view and actionable path forward
• Strong understanding of how technology platforms become products, including the relationship between core platform capabilities, applications, customer requirements, and market opportunities
• Strong analytical capabilities, including market sizing, competitive analysis, business-case development, strategic modeling, and product/portfolio analysis
• Intellectual curiosity and sufficient technical fluency to engage effectively with Product, Engineering, AI Research, and Forward Engineering teams on emerging AI technologies and their commercial potential
• Exceptional written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technology and market questions into clear decisions and narratives
• Comfortable working directly with executives and operating across functions in a high-growth environment where strategy, technology, and product direction are evolving rapidly.

• California base salary range: $150,000 – $190,000 USD (based on experience)
