Job summary

Charter Schools USA is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our accounting team in a role that reports to the Corporate Accounting Supervisor or Manager. You will compile financial information, prepare journal entries, and support audits and forecasts for CSUSA and its subsidiaries.

The position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, 2–5 years of related experience, and strong GAAP knowledge. Candidates should be detail-oriented, able to work with cross-functional teams, and maintain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or related field.
• 2-5 years related experience.
• Exposure to GAAP rules.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Performs bank reconciliations.
• Prepares and posts journal entries.
• Performs balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Creates Excel-ledger worksheets with advanced features.
• Generates financial statements for subsidiaries.
• Supports auditors during annual audits with documentation.
• Interacts with departments to obtain current information.
• Reviews documents for accuracy and timeliness.
• Assists with budget/forecast preparation.
• Ad hoc reporting as needed.
