The New Business Development Manager is responsible for achieving new revenue growth of Kendall’s flexible packaging within key strategic markets. The position focuses on new customer acquisition within these markets. As the New Business Development Manager, you will help to develop and execute Kendall’s overall strategy. You will be responsible for reporting on new market information regarding customers, competitors, and new products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed new business sales goals.
- Build an active pipeline by managing the overall sales funnel from lead generation activities to close the business.
- Define strategy from market, customer, and product levels, aligning to market, and customer segmentation models.
- Work with Marketing and various departments to understand customer needs to provide the best solution while maintaining overall company profit targets.
- Develop and maintain CRM information database of existing customers as well as adding new prospects and contacts.
- Represent the voice of Kendall’s capabilities to the customers.
- Share new product ideas with Kendall’s innovation team.
- Execute sales calls, presentations to deliver proposals for prospective customers.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to gain new business leads and contacts.
- Work closely with Account Management and Field Technical Service teams to provide world class service to existing and new customers.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and departments to onboard new business for a seamless commercial launch.
- Prepares sales reports and updates salesforce.com on a regular basis as well as stay current with expense reporting.

Education and/or Experience
- A four-year college degree with an emphasis on business sales & marketing, or l engineering is preferred.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the flexible packaging industry, material knowledge, markets, and competition.
- Minimum of 3 years’ work experience with a strong track record selling Flexible Packaging.
- Ability to develop productive relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of both internal and external contacts.
- Highly motivated salesperson who is results oriented, driven to succeed and has a ability to close the sale.
- Ability to negotiate opportunities.
- Outgoing and personable with excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication, listening and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated to work remotely.
- Must be good with follow-up and meeting deadlines.
- Coachable with the desire to consistently learn.
- Must be willing to travel overnight.
- Experience using CRM Programs (Ie. Salesforce, Dynamics, ACT, Goldmine, etc)
