Job Summary

Provide support to students in preparing for, identifying and pursuing corporate job opportunities. Establish and maintain relations with corporate representatives, other Institute units and alumni for purposes of promoting student recruiting and placement opportunities in internships, co-op positions and regular employment.This position will interact on a consistent basis with: corporate executives and recruiters, hiring managers, students, alumni, staff and faculty. This position typically will advise and counsel: students, corporate recruiters and hiring managers.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 - Establish and maintain relationships with representative of prospective corporate employers in order to promote recruiting of Institute students.

Job Duty 2 - Advise students on career search activities to include job search strategy and company targeting, resume preparation, interview techniques and practice and interactive one-on-one coaching sessions.

Job Duty 3 - Collaborate with other GT organizations and individuals such as alumni, faculty and development representatives to promote job networking and mentoring opportunities.

Job Duty 4 - Plan and coordinate holding of job fairs and other promotional events aimed at student placement in corporate positions.

Job Duty 5 - Maintain databases utilized in promotional and placement efforts.

Job Duty 6 - Perform other duties as assigned

Corporate Partner & Employer Relationship Management - 45%
Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned corporate partners, including Computing Affiliates Program (CAP) members. Maintain ongoing partner engagement, advise employers on recruiting and student engagement opportunities, and manage partner participation across College of Computing programs and initiatives.

Employer Engagement Programs & Events - 30%
Plan and execute employer engagement activities including information sessions, technical talks, networking events, coffee chats, recruiting programs, and campus visits. Manage event logistics, communications, registrations, and compliance with recruiting policies.

Computing Career Fair Management - 10%
Lead planning and execution of the College of Computing Fall and Spring Career Fairs, including employer registration, communications, logistics, vendor coordination, student outreach, and event operations.

Corporate Partnership Development - 5%
Support cultivation of prospective corporate partners and CAP members in collaboration with Development and Alumni Relations, connecting organizations with recruiting, engagement, academic, and research opportunities.

Communications & Stakeholder Engagement - 5%
Develop employer-related communications and collaborate with students, faculty, staff, and campus partners to promote recruiting and engagement opportunities.

Assessment, Reporting & Administration - 5%
Maintain employer and program records, analyze participation and engagement data, prepare reports, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Four to five years of job related experience

Master's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS
This job requires skills in effectively interacting with corporate executives, alumni, faculty and staff for the purpose of promoting the recruitment of Institute students. Skills in career advising and counseling are required as are skills in relationship building, sales/marketing, communications and presentation.
