Job summary

Stout is seeking a seasoned restructuring professional to lead engagement workstreams for middle-market and multinational clients in the United States. You’ll manage day-to-day client contacts, prepare cash flow forecasts, and oversee Fresh-Start accounting projects, coordinating with lenders and stakeholders to drive outcomes.

You will mentor junior staff, contribute to business development, and collaborate with senior leadership to grow client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required or related field
• CPA designation required
• 4-8 years of experience in restructuring advisory or related fields
• Strong leadership of engagement workstreams and supervision of juniors
• Advanced knowledge of bankruptcy/restructuring concepts (US) and ASC 852/805
• Advanced financial modeling including 13-week cash flow, liquidity, and distressed analyses
• Proficiency in Excel; PowerPoint/Word skills a must
• Experience with data analytics tools (SQL/Alteryx/Power BI) preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement workstreams across restructuring and insolvency engagements
• Serve as primary day-to-day client contact and manage stakeholder relationships
• Direct preparation/review of 13-week cash flow forecasts and liquidity analyses
• Lead Fresh-Start accounting engagements (ASC 852) including planning and implementation
• Negotiate with lenders/creditors and support debt restructurings
• Review technical accounting research and client deliverables for quality
• Oversee written reports and client-facing materials
• Mentor Analysts and Senior Consultants
• Support business development and expansion of client relationships
• Represent Stout in client meetings and court-related proceedings
• Contribute to practice development and knowledge sharing
