Haley Stuart Group seeks a Corporate Paralegal to own contract governance and compliance. This newly created role reports to executive leadership and builds centralized systems for legal oversight in a hybrid Northern NJ setting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in corporate paralegal or legal operations, paralegal certification, and hands-on contract lifecycle experience. You’ll collaborate across HR, Finance, Safety, and Operations to align contract goals with business needs.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or relevant legal training (JD not required).
• 3+ years in corporate paralegal or legal operations, preferably in-house.
• Hands-on experience with contract lifecycle management.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the centralized point of contact for contract review and processing.
• Standardize contract workflows for cross-department consistency.
• Review NDAs, vendor agreements, staffing contracts, and more.
• Track deadlines, renewals, and compliance obligations.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Safety, and Operations to align goals.
• Escalate high-risk terms to external counsel or executives.
• Support buildout of a contract repository and potential CM system.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the centralized point of contact for all contract review and processing

• Review standard agreements (NDAs, vendor agreements, staffing contracts, etc.)
• Track deadlines, renewal schedules, and compliance obligations
• Collaborate with departments like HR, Finance, Safety, and Operations to understand contract goals and business needs
• Escalate complex or high-risk terms to external counsel or executive leadership
• Support the buildout of a contract repository and assist in potential contract management system implementation

Ideal Candidate

• Paralegal certificate or relevant legal training (JD not required)
