Overview

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, offers a dynamic full‑time employment opportunity for a mid‑senior level Associate in our Corporate Practice. The position is location flexible, primarily working with attorneys in the Corporate practices of our Tampa and Fort Lauderdale offices. Candidates from multiple East Coast locations may be considered, as the team frequently works across the GT platform. GT is consistently among the top firms on the AM Law Global 100, and the associate will work with clients, large and small, from a variety of industries across the country.

Qualifications & Responsibilities
  • 4–7 years of significant experience in corporate transactions with an emphasis on public M&A, take‑private transactions, and general corporate governance.
  • Strong working knowledge of acquisition agreements and other documentation used in complex M&A transactions, and proficiency in drafting the same.
  • Well‑versed in the mechanics of leading an M&A transaction from inception to closing, with experience leading due diligence teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high degree of maturity, proven willingness to accept significant responsibility, work independently, and manage a challenging workload within a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team across practice areas.
  • Strong academic credentials and writing skills essential.
Compensation & Benefits

Expected pay range (New York City): $320,000 – $410,000 annually.

Salary will be determined based upon education, experience, job‑related factors permitted by law, internal equity, and market data, including geographic pay differentials. Full‑time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, healthcare and dependent‑care flexible spending accounts, 401(k), vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program. Additional voluntary programs include accident insurance, life, disability, critical illness and cancer insurance, and pet insurance. Commuter and transit programs may also be available in certain markets.
