UMB Financial Corporation is seeking a Corporate Legal Intern to assist the Corporate Legal team with legal research and writing, while learning the financial services regulatory landscape. The role involves collaborating with clients and the legal team to provide actionable advice and creative solutions.

You are pursuing a JD and excited to gain experience across UMB’s diverse lines of business, including Private Wealth, Commercial Banking, Contracts, and Governance.

The Corporate Legal team is UMB’s Corporate Legal support function and serves many lines of business throughout our footprint by providing legal education, counsel, and advice. They facilitate the needs of their clients (UMB Financial Corporation and its subsidiaries) through subject matter expertise, as well as relationships with outside counsel, where necessary. Private Wealth, Commercial Banking, Contracts, Corporate Governance, Litigation, Employment, Institutional Banking, Trademarks/TM Support, Treasury Management, Cards, Healthcare, Consumer Banking.

As the Corporate Legal Intern, you will learn about the different UMB line of businesses, conduct legal research, and writing, and gain a greater understanding of financial services laws and regulations. You will also learn how to provide legal advice to clients and become a trusted advisor.

Compensation Range: $33,786 - $49,698
