Job summary

Covia is seeking a Corporate Lab Technician to support the Technology & Applications Team at the Concord, NC location. You will perform a variety of laboratory tasks including sample preparation, testing, data analysis, and equipment maintenance, contributing to development efforts with strong attention to detail.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in chemistry or materials science, with 1 year of lab experience, and demonstrates strong analytical, verbal, and written communication,

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level equivalent in the minimum field and strong lab literacy.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct work safely following established procedures.
• Analyze data and generate reports.
• Maintain laboratory in clean working order.
• Maintain equipment, samples, and supplies.
• Understand chemical properties and hazards.
• Keep detailed research notebooks for results.
• Participate in continuous improvement of procedures and equipment.
• Train fellow employees on procedures and provide technical assistance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
