Job summary

Paragon Legal Group is seeking an experienced Generalist Attorney to work directly with the Head of Legal in a lean, fast-moving department. The role covers corporate housekeeping, employment counseling, product and commercial matters, and a range of contracts including NDAs and procurement agreements.

The ideal candidate will navigate unfamiliar questions, perform independent research, and provide practical guidance. Fintech/Blockchain is a plus but not required; remote, US-based.

Qualifications

Job description

The Position

An innovative technology company is seeking an experienced Generalist Attorney to work directly alongside its Head of Legal in a lean, fast-moving legal department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile, business-minded attorney who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, taking ownership, and solving problems across a wide variety of legal disciplines.

The role will encompass corporate housekeeping and entity wind-downs, employment counseling (including severance, settlements, and multi-jurisdictional issues), product counseling, and commercial contracting. Contract work will range from routine NDAs and procurement agreements to more complex, bespoke arrangements involving asset divestitures, revenue sharing, and licensing.

The ideal candidate is a true generalist who can navigate unfamiliar legal questions, conduct independent research, and provide practical, commercially sound guidance without extensive oversight. Someone who is equally comfortable handling routine matters and tackling complex legal challenges will thrive in this environment.

Blockchain or fintech experience is a plus but not required. Candidates must be located in the Eastern, Central, or Mountain time zone. There is potential for permanent conversion for candidates in the greater Denver area.

This project starts ASAP, is 2-3 months, is fully remote, and requires a full-time schedule, primarily during normal business hours with flexibility for critical matters outside those hours. The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $97and $102. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
