A rapidly growing financial services compliance technology company is seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Attorney to help modernize and scale its commercial legal infrastructure. With an expanding sales organization, increasing partnership activity, and new AI-powered product offerings, the company needs an attorney who can build practical contracting processes that support continued growth.
This engagement will focus primarily on assessing and updating existing contract templates, developing comprehensive negotiation playbooks with fallback provisions, and establishing escalation guidelines that empower the sales team to manage routine agreements independently. The attorney will also provide guidance on sales and partnership agreements, complex redlines, renewals, and contractual protections associated with new AI product features.
The ideal candidate has strong financial services experience, including familiarity with state and federal compliance considerations, privacy requirements, and the unique challenges of selling technology products to financial institutions. Prior experience supporting sales teams through bank vendor onboarding and independently developing commercial contracting infrastructure is important.
Experience serving as sole in-house counsel at a financial services company or supporting commercial AI offerings would be valuable. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys building scalable legal processes, working closely with business stakeholders, and delivering commercially practical solutions.
This project starts ASAP, is initially through the end of 2026 with potential for ongoing support, is fully remote with Central Time overlap, and requires 15–20 hours/week.
The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $115 and $125. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
