Job description

The Position

A leading multinational retailer is seeking a corporate attorney for a high-visibility, full-time projectfocused on transforming its global subsidiary-governance function.

The attorney will play a key role in improving entity lifecycle processes, governance controls, records management, templates, and operational workflows across a complex international entity portfolio. The assignment will consist of approximately 65% governance transformation and 35% hands-on execution, including U.S. and international entity formations, foreign qualifications, corporate resolutions, officer/director changes, and related governance matters.

The ideal candidate will have a law firm associate background with meaningful experience supporting major multinational reorganizations, entity rationalizations, integrations, carve-outs, or complex internal restructurings. Experience with large-scale reorganizations or embedded in-house corporate governance is particularly valuable. Strong hands-on experience with U.S. and international entity governance, including the implementation and coordination of multi-entity projects, is essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain embedded in-house experience, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and make a meaningful impact on a significant governance transformation within a sophisticated global organization.

This project starts by January 1, 2027, with flexibility to begin earlier for the right candidate, is up to 12 months, is open to remote candidates with a preference for those willing to be based in Bentonville, Arkansas, and requires a full-time schedule. The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $120and $130. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
