Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Corporate Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead a short-term operational assignment in Colorado, with onsite presence for about two weeks each month. The role will transition to a strategic corporate EHS leadership position, standardizing and implementing enterprise-wide programs across locations.

The chosen candidate will guide data systems, audits, and compliance while partnering with executives to advance proactive safety and regulatory excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree as stated.
  • 10+ years of combined EHS and manufacturing operations experience.
  • 3-5+ years of leadership experience managing EHS teams.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental compliance, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, auditing, and management systems.
  • Experience with ISO 14001/ISO 45001 or similar frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement EHS data collection and reporting systems for enterprise-wide trend analysis.
  • Support site compliance with regulations through audits, inspections, monitoring programs, and corrective actions.
  • Lead corporate EHS compliance audits across multiple facilities.
  • Drive short- and long-term EHS objectives and corporate initiatives.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through communication and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with leaders to provide EHS expertise and strategic support.
  • Track performance metrics, support budgeting, and report progress toward EHS goals.
  • Provide onsite EHS leadership during the initial assignment and develop site EHS personnel.
  • Maintain ongoing professional development and industry engagement to stay current.

Job description

Our client, a global industrial manufacturing organization, is seeking a Corporate Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to provide dedicated EHS leadership during a critical short-term operational assignment. During the first 12-18 months, this individual will spend approximately two weeks per month onsite at a domestic manufacturing facility, supporting local operations while maintaining select corporate EHS responsibilities.

Upon completion of the assignment, the position will transition into a strategic Corporate EHS Manager role based in Colorado. In this capacity, the successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert responsible for developing, standardizing, and implementing enterprise-wide EHS programs, management systems, and compliance initiatives across multiple locations

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement EHS data collection and reporting systems to support enterprise-wide trend analysis and best-practice sharing.
  • Support site compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations through audits, inspections, monitoring programs, and corrective action initiatives.
  • Lead and participate in corporate EHS compliance audits across multiple manufacturing locations.
  • Drive the implementation of both short-term and long-term EHS objectives and corporate initiatives.
  • Champion a proactive safety culture through communication, engagement, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Partner with operational and corporate leaders to provide EHS expertise, guidance, and strategic support.

  • Provide direct onsite EHS leadership during the initial assignment, including leadership and development of site EHS personnel.
  • Maintain strong professional development and industry engagement to ensure current knowledge of regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of combined EHS and manufacturing operations experience.
  • 3-5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing EHS teams.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental compliance, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, auditing, and management systems.
  • Experience developing and maintaining EHS management systems such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and/or similar frameworks.
