HF Sinclair is seeking a Corporate Development Associate in Dallas, TX who will be responsible for conducting advanced and complex analysis needed to develop, evaluate and formulate business growth strategies and assess the company’s short- and long-term performance using broad-based financial analysis and asset rationalization.

Job Duties
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models used to perform economic evaluation of strategic opportunities
  • Maintain corporate model to effectively layer in accretion/dilution analysis for various capital structures
  • Develop PowerPoint materials used to present projects to Senior Management and Board of Directors
  • Assist in identification of strategic opportunities, potentially including acquisitions, divestitures, growth projects and partnerships
  • Participate in managing M&A transaction evaluation processes, including but not limited to bid strategy and analysis, facilitating exchange of pertinent information, and coordinating meetings among internal and external stakeholders
  • Review and assist in negotiating legal contracts pertinent to strategic opportunities
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support key initiatives of the organization
  • Establish and maintain relationships internally and with various industry participants

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion

Experience

Minimum three years of experience in complex financial models.

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other applicable field is required. A Masters in Business Administration is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of finance concepts and procedures
  • Advanced understanding of financial risk and mitigation
  • Effective communication with others, both written and verbal
  • Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal oversight
  • Detail oriented
  • Basic knowledge of energy or commodity markets
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Office based in Dallas, Texas
  • Up to 10% travel by land and air
  • Sitting, standing, talking, hearing, making visual inspections, perceiving color differences, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, the ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles
