The Viridan Group is hiring on behalf of a fast-growing platform in the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) sector. We’re seeking a Corporate Development Associate with direct experience evaluating, structuring, or executing RNG transactions. This is a high-impact role supporting a team actively scaling a portfolio through M&A and greenfield development.

About the Company:

Our client is a well-capitalized and entrepreneurial RNG developer, focused on acquiring and developing high-quality RNG assets across the U.S. The leadership team has a strong track record in energy infrastructure, and the company is positioned for rapid expansion in a sector central to the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support execution of RNG project and platform-level acquisitions
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models for RNG assets (greenfield and operating)
  • Support all aspects of M&A and commercial deal structuring—including diligence, valuation, and contract review
  • Conduct market, policy, and regulatory research to inform investment decisions
  • Coordinate with internal teams (development, finance, legal, engineering) and external advisors to drive transactions to close
  • Develop IC materials, investment memos, and presentations for senior stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of experience working on RNG transactions, either in investment banking, private equity, project development, or corporate development
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities, with experience underwriting RNG or other bioenergy assets
  • Familiarity with key RNG deal structures, including offtake agreements, feedstock contracts, LCFS/RIN markets, and project finance fundamentals
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, detail-oriented working style
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus
