Job summary

Zip is seeking a high-ownership corporate development professional to lead deal execution from origination to closing. You will build valuation models, run diligence, and prepare board-ready materials while collaborating with the executive team.

You will own market assessments, thesis development, and strategic reviews to inform capital allocation decisions. This is a remote-first role for US-based employees, with optional Manhattan office engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or related field; MBA/CFA is well regarded.
• 4–6 years of experience across investment banking, private equity, corporate development, and/or top-tier strategy consulting.
• Hands-on involvement in M&A and investment transactions through full deal cycles (buy-side and sell-side).
• Advanced financial modeling and valuation capability with discipline and model hygiene.
• Strong due diligence experience across market, competitive, operational and financial dimensions.
• Experience leveraging AI to augment the M&A lifecycle and due diligence processes.

Responsibilities

• Transaction execution: lead day-to-day execution of M&A and strategic investments from screening to completion.
• Origination & screening: build thesis-led pipeline with market mapping and target profiles.
• Financial modeling & valuation: build and own investment models (DCF, IRR, accretion/dilution).
• Deal structuring & negotiation support: analyze terms and draft analysis for negotiating positions.
• Due diligence: run end-to-end diligence with data rooms and market sizing.
• Board & Executive materials: author papers and present clear recommendations.
• Adviser & stakeholder coordination: manage external advisers and cross-functional partners.
