Job summary

RPM Living seeks a Corporate Counsel to deliver practical, business‑focused legal advice across commercial contracting, governance, and risk management. You will partner with internal stakeholders to identify issues, balance risk, and support business objectives.

The role requires drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of agreements, supporting litigation and regulatory inquiries, and helping maintain governance documents and templates.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Three or more years of relevant legal experience as an attorney in a law firm, corporate legal department, or comparable environment.
• Experience with real estate, property management, multifamily housing, or related industry preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial contract principles including structure, interpretation, drafting, negotiation, and risk allocation.
• Strong drafting and contract-review skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain legal concepts to non-legal audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements (property management, NDAs, MSAs, construction-related agreements, amendments).
• Provide practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders on contractual rights, obligations, and risks.
• Review and analyze contracts and clearly communicate material terms and recommended actions.
• Support management of litigation, regulatory inquiries, investigations, and outside counsel coordination.
• Support corporate governance and entity management matters, including record-keeping and filings.
• Develop, maintain, and improve contract templates, forms, playbooks, and workflows.
• Coordinate, track, and timely complete legal requests and projects for the Legal Department.
• Participate in special projects across transactional, compliance, governance, employment, insurance, and risk management.
