About the Role

As Corporate Counsel, you will help develop our corporate and securities legal strategy, ensuring we stay ahead in a constantly evolving tech landscape.

This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you'll do at Figma:

1. Ensure the Company remains compliant with all applicable corporate and securities laws and regulations, including potential future SEC requirements.
2. Lead the preparation of SEC filings.
3. Support review of earnings-related materials, including earnings releases, presentations, and other public-facing corporate communications.
4. Build and maintain processes and infrastructure, such as playbooks, templates, metrics, and self-serve tools, to help scale the legal function.
5. Partner with other critical stakeholders across accounting, finance, people, and communications.
6. Support the management of outside counsel on various matters, as needed.
7. Support and lead special projects as requested.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of legal experience at a top-tier law firm and in-house legal department; a J.D. and membership in at least one U.S. state bar are required.
• Deep knowledge of corporate and securities laws and SEC reporting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and business judgment; ability to distill complex issues and explain their significance clearly.
• Proactive, driven, and adaptable; capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects, and recalibrating advice based on shifting priorities, legal developments, and risk tolerance.

Pay Transparency

If based in Figma's San Francisco or New York hub offices, this role has an annual base salary range of $180,000—$308,000 USD. Compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications, skills, experience, impact potential, and location. For remote roles, the pay range is localized according to the employee's work location, approximately 80-100% of the range. Please discuss your specific location with your recruiter.
