Job summary

Atlas Search, partnering with a growing publicly traded digital infrastructure company, is hiring a Corporate Controller in New York to own the corporate accounting close, multi-entity and intercompany accounting, and financial reporting.

You will lead a four-person offshore team, implement scalable controls, Brex and QuickBooks integration, and partner with the CEO to provide timely, decision-ready financial insights while building US headcount.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of corporate accounting with close ownership and reporting responsibility.
• Experience across multiple entities and intercompany accounting.
• Proven team leadership across locations/time zones.
• Experience implementing accounting or expense management systems.
• Demonstrated use of automation or AI to improve workflows.
• Strong fundamentals and attention to detail; able to partner with C-level leadership.
• Nice to have real estate accounting exposure (development, leasing, property-level entities).

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close, general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Oversee accounting across multiple entities, including intercompany activity.
• Lead a four-person offshore accounting team with clear priorities and reviews.
• Provide timely financial information to the CEO and management.
• Establish accounting policies, documentation, and internal controls.
• Roll out Brex, including expense workflows and integration with accounting.
• Improve QuickBooks usage and supporting systems for accuracy and visibility.
• Automate repetitive tasks and apply AI tools to daily workflows.
• Support accounting for data center operations, development activity, and real estate.
• Coordinate with external accounting, audit, and tax providers.
• Help assess staffing needs and build US accounting capacity as the business grows.

Atlas Search is partnering with a growing, publicly traded digital infrastructure company that develops and operates data centers supporting AI and high-performance computing. They are hiring a Corporate Controller in New York. You will report directly to the CEO and own corporate accounting end to end: the close, multi-entity and intercompany accounting, and financial reporting. You will also lead a four-person offshore accounting team and build the systems, processes, and controls the function needs to scale. This is a hands-on role, with the opportunity to add US headcount as the business grows.

Location: NYC (5 days/week onsite)

Compensation: $140,000 to $160,000

What You'll Do

• Own the monthly close, general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Oversee accounting across multiple entities, including intercompany activity and consolidated financial information
• Lead and develop a four-person offshore accounting team, setting clear priorities, deadlines, and review procedures
• Provide accurate, timely financial information to the CEO and help management understand business performance
• Establish and strengthen accounting policies, documentation, and internal controls
• Complete the rollout of Brex, including expense workflows, approval processes, and integration with accounting
• Improve the use of QuickBooks and supporting systems to increase accuracy, efficiency, and visibility
• Automate repetitive accounting tasks and put AI tools to practical use in daily workflows
• Support accounting for data center operations, development activity, and real estate transactions
• Coordinate with external accounting, audit, and tax providers
• Help assess staffing needs and build out US accounting capacity as the business expands

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience with hands-on ownership of the close and financial reporting
• Multi-entity and intercompany accounting experience
• Team management experience, ideally leading people across locations and time zones
• Experience implementing accounting, expense management, or related financial systems
• Real examples of using automation or AI to improve accounting workflowsStrong accounting fundamentals and comfort working directly in the detail
• A builder's mindset: comfortable creating structure and process in an evolving environment
• Clear communicator who is confident working directly with the CEO

Preferred

• Real estate accounting experience (development, leasing, or property-level entities)
• QuickBooks experience (strongly preferred)
• Brex experience
• Startup or high-growth company background

The Environment

A growing public company with a lean finance team and direct access to the CEO. This role is full-time in office in New York City, working Eastern business hours.
